Staff
Michael Andrewartha - Proprietor
With over 25 years experience in fine wine retail and a passion for the wine of small and interesting producers, Michael started East End Cellars in January 1998. Has a great knack in discovering exciting new wine producers. Is a member of the Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation Export Approval Panel. Outside of wine his hobbies are, well, drinking. And fishing! |
Angas Buchanan - Manager
After three years as 2IC, Gus has now completed the rigorous climb to the top of the East End Cellars corporate ladder, landing the coveted Managers position. He's ready though. With a decade of fine wine retail experience behind him including a stint in London in retail and at the International Wine Challenge, his palate, and liver, are up to the challenge. As well as wine, Gus also has a fine palate for Single Malt Whisky, and other quality spirits with an alcohol content of greater than 75%! |
Pablo Theodoros
Gus’s right hand man and EEC’s 2IC. Pablo has extensive experience in the hospitality side of things, he was poached from a management position at Lenzerheide, and has completed numerous diplomas in wine and food service. The man to contact regarding en-primeur offers, general East End Cellar’s specials, anything to do with the East End Website plus the wholesale business! |
Sam Oborn
The newest member of the EEC crew and very excited to be here (that will eventually change of course). Having worked a few vintages around the traps and just finishing off a degree in Wine Marketing, Sam is ready for the world of retail (we think). Still looking young and fresh but don't worry, a few more late night 'wine tastings' and some early morning deliveries should sort that out quickly enough. Its gonna take a lot to drag Sam away from you. There’s nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do, He blesses the rains down in Africa... He seeks to cure what's deep inside, frightened of this thing that he shall become - Toto.

Jane Mittiga
The hardest worker at East End Cellars looks after the seemingly endless accounts and keeping the above staff members under control. Has worked at East End Cellars since day one. Loves drinking wine (but doesn't concern herself with trivialities such as which variety it is) and going to the football. |
Millie Andrewartha
Shop Border Collie who welcomes customers with a friendly wag of the tail. Has been known on occasions to display more common sense than all of the above staff members put together. Has a degree in Fine Arts and is a member of the United Nations Security Council. |
