East End Cellars are located in the thriving restaurant and café precinct of Adelaide's "East End" in South Australia. South Australia is home to many of the finest wines produced in Australia. The famous Barossa Valley is one hour to the North and McLaren Vale is forty five minutes to the South. The Adelaide Hills are a mere twenty minutes to the east.

Our wine selection is second to none and features many of the hard to find super premium, small producer Australian wines that have become sought after around the world. You can browse through our product range online.

We are a member of "The Alliance of Premium Fine Wine Merchants" and specialise in premium wines from small wine producers, both Australian and International. Read "The Alliance" charter here.

Staff

Michael AndrewarthaMichael Andrewartha - Proprietor
With over 30 years experience in fine wine retail and a passion for the wine of small and interesting producers, Michael started East End Cellars in January 1998. Has a great knack in discovering exciting new wine producers. Is a member of the Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation Export Approval Panel. Outside of wine his hobbies are, well, drinking. And fishing!
Angas BuchananAngas Buchanan - Manager
After three years as 2IC, Gus has now completed the rigorous climb to the top of the East End Cellars corporate ladder, landing the coveted Managers position. He's ready though. With a decade of fine wine retail experience behind him including a stint in London in retail and at the International Wine Challenge, his palate, and liver, are up to the challenge. As well as wine, Gus also has a fine palate for Single Malt Whisky, and other quality spirits with an alcohol content of greater than 75%!
Pablo TheodorosPablo Theodoros
Pablo has extensive experience in the hospitality side of things, he was poached from a management position in a iconic Adelaide restaurant, and has completed numerous diplomas in wine and food service. The man to contact regarding en-primeur offers, general East End Cellar’s specials, anything to do with the East End Website plus the wholesale business!

 Louis Schofield

The newest member to EEC but a familiar face for years from many late nights at the Exeter Hotel. Quickly built a reputation as our fastest delivery driver to date, and now you’ll find him nestled behind the counter (probably on his phone looking at instagram or twitter).  A big fan of the "Summer of Riesling", but gets sad when there is no Spring, Winter or Autumn of Riesling. A closet Sparkling Shiraz fan (he'll learn) that will pretty much deep fry anything.

 Jane MittigaJane Mittiga
The hardest worker at East End Cellars looks after the seemingly endless accounts and keeping the above staff members under control. Has worked at East End Cellars since day one. Loves drinking wine (but doesn't concern herself with trivialities such as which variety it is) and going to the football.

James (JR) Alderson

The seventh tallest member of the EEC team, JR makes up for his stature with more charisma than a busload of Kanyes and sense of humour that’d make pretty much anyone cringe. After surviving a near-death experience flying through a car window on his bike, JR has launched into his new life as a cork dork just like the rest of us. Now our resident beer expert (about time we had someone who drinks more than just Coopers) he’s leading the charge seeking out the weird and wonderful from all over the beer world.
