Langmeil on tasting this Friday
28 July 2009
Our tasting this week, sees the team from Langmeil joining us in the shop Friday evening (the 31st) from 5 - 7pm to showcase some of their new releases.
Langmeil are custodians of some of the oldest vines in the world with plantings dating back to 1843. Today, chief winemaker Paul Lindner, using these amazing old vines and utilizing old-world and new-world technology, minimal handling and filtration techniques, ensures the full potential of the fruit is captured, resulting in fruit driven wines with subtle complexity.
Can't make the tasting? Don't forget you can still purchase the wines on-line at www.eastendcellars.com.au, shoot us an e-mail or even give us a call, on 08 8232 5300.

"The ‘garden’ was how the old Barossa vigneron referred to his vineyard. Our Three Gardens in Tanunda, Lyndoch and Seppeltsfield, yield a fine red blend with a distinct Barossa style and complementary characteristics. The blend of Shiraz (43%), Grenache (37%) and Mourvèdre (20%) shows good balance and integrated structure. It has full, ripe fruit, supported by firm but fine tannins. The overall flavours and cherries and blackberries, with hints of chocolate and spice. Enjoy it over the next five years or so."
