This Monday the 25th, from 7pm come to East End Cellars to taste the portfolio of one the world’s greatest producers - Guigal. There’s been plenty of press about this label and all would be familiar with the style, let alone pedigree. So for those who wish to reintroduce themselves to these wines and for those wanting to see just how a Rhône wine is made come along and be guided through 12 of their finest with the Asia-Pacific Ambassador for E. Guigal; Brett Crittenden.
The line up will encompass the Cotes du Rhone, the La Landonne and even a drop of La Dorianne, with all things nice covered in between.
Tickets are $60 (which must be paid with booking) and it is extremely limited.

2006 Rieslings
Discussions have been rife regarding the qualities of 2005 versus 2006 for Riesling in SA. This argument hasn’t really been tackled by the media, as no doubt it will, but we reckon the virtues of the ’06 vintage for Clare & Eden Valley is something worth seeking out. Purity, balance, varietal expression and the clincher being approachability, they are just so easy to get in to now. That’s not to say they won’t age it’s just why would you?
