The Christmas Day Mixed Dozen

The Christmas Day Mixed Dozen
After the "retail vintage" that is November and December, we gear up and get our drinking boots on for the 25th December and often much thought is put in to plan out the day. So this year we thought that we would share our ideas on the perfect Christmas Day drinks... starting with breakfast and finishing up, all the way through to a nightcap.
The "Christmas Day Dozen"
Breakfast
Just because it's early doesn't mean you can't have a drink... it is Christmas Day remember. We have selected two 'sweeter' numbers that are also a little lower in alcohol just to give you that kick-start to the day.
2011 SYP Monsters, Monsters, Attack! Riesling
2010 Vietti Moscato d'Asti Cascinetta 750ml
Morning Tea
Just a little tipple to get the day going...
Adria Vetriano Prosecco Brut NV
Lunch
Whether you have turkey, seafood or baked ham, these three wines will cover the dishes...
2006 Brackenwood Sparkling Shiraz
2010 Vissoux Les Griottes Beaujolais
2009 Kanta Riesling
Dinner
So by now you have probably had a little nap and should be charged up & ready to roll again, so what better way to jump start dinner proceedings than with a bottle of Champagne! Follow with what Australia does so well, with some classy Chardonnay and Shiraz, a bottle of Burgundy and finish up with some cheese and Nebbiolo. Bliss.
Jacquesson Cuvee No. 734
2009 Mountadam High Eden Chardonnay
2009 Domaine Matrot Bourgogne Rouge
2006 Seppelts St Peters Shiraz
2009 Mario Marengo Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore
Nightcap
Whether you are still nibbling away at some cheese, having a late night dessert or just need that one last drink, this Pedro Ximinez is the perfect way to finish the day...
