Huge Austrian Tasting!
11 April 2012
The Sounds of Austria
On the 8th of May, upstairs at the almighty Exeter, fans of all things Grüner and even the most noble of grapes; Riesling, should come along to witness, nay, indulge in some of Austria’s finest. From 6pm (til 8:30pm) we will be having an in-depth look at the wines from Prager, Emerich Knoll, FX Pichler, Salomon Undhof, Domaine Wachau, Pittnauer, Brundlmayer, Stift Gottweig & Mac Forbes (the Austrian arm). And it won’t be just about whites, there will also be some fine St Laurent, Zweigelt & Blaufränkisch on show to keep things balanced, not only that, we’ll be firing up the Exeter’s kitchen to zertrümmern down some ‘chicken-schnitzel-potato-rosti-sliders’ and a crisp Trumer Pils (all built in to the ticket).
This will be the perfect way to run through some amazing wines, to give you a greater idea about what’s happening in Austria, in a relaxed environment. All up there will be around 30 wines on show from across Austria… dry whites, light reds & even some stickies for good measure. Tickets are only $45 (to be paid on booking) and numbers are limited (there’s only so much room upstairs at the Ex).
Don’t miss this opportunity. You can purchase a ticket online or send us an e-mail to wine@eastendcellars.com.au or even give us a call on 08 8232 5300
