Nebbiolo.... the "KING"
15 January 2008
For many years we have been big fans of this most prestigious variety, and while the best are still found in Piedmont with some stunning Barolos and Barbaresco, the transition to Australia so far has been impressive. It seems the evolution of Italian varities is all the rage at the moment and with the likes of Peter Godden, Sally Mcgill and Stephen Pannell growing, cultivating and producing Nebbiolo we believe the "King" is in safe hands "Down Under". Here is a small selection that we are currently drinking!
While you are salivating over this selection we also have a pre-arrival offer from two of our favourite Piedmont producers.

Intense sour cherry fruit, deeply sprung acidity and lingering fine tannins. Best enjoyed with a meal." Nick Stock - Adelaide Review Hot 100
