Positively Stunning 06's from Spinifex!

2 April 2008

The evolution of Spinifex is certainly progressive and looking oh so positive. In fact these new releases from Pete Schell & Magali Gely are positively stunning. Could it be the vintage (2006 reds from SA are looking incredible) or just Pete’s understanding of his fruit and the progression of Spinifex? Either way the finished wines are definitely worth the exploration.

Every year Pete & Magali like to play with the blends, varietals and styles; so this year sees some percentage changes and a couple of new rare wines. If you know this label and understand just how good the ‘02’s & ‘04’s were, you’ll absolutely love the ‘06’s.

Don't sit there and twiddle your thumbs thinking about what to buy, as the limited quantities will sell out quick.

Superb, chalky tannins are a recurring theme for the new Spinifex: commanding is the word. [ Read more ]
