Rolf Binder Dinner and some new releases...
11 November 2008
What can we say about Rolf Binder Wines that most people don't already know? They have produced some very classy wines from the Barossa for over 60 years now, whether it's under the old Veritas label or Rolf Binder, year after year the wines are seamless. With the current new releases of his "Big Guns", from the '06 vintage (a personal favourite of ours) we knew something special was on the cards. So what better way to show off the wines matched with some yummy food... Thus, East End Cellars, along with the Wine Underground invite you all to a very special dinner with the man himself - Rolf Binder. The evening is all about showcasing the brilliant new releases, including the 2006 Hanisch Shiraz, the 2006 Bulls Blood and the first ever Australian release of the 2006 Heysen Shiraz.

Mr Binder continues as one of the stalwarts in the Barossa with his many years of winemaking experience. As far as classic Rhône blends made in Australia go, Rolf must be seen as one of the pioneers, blending Grenache and Mataro with Shiraz very early on in his career. His Heinrich is a generous wine, layered with pepper, black fruits and some
toasty oak. Smooth, seamless and beautifully balanced right through to the end.
