S.C. Pannell Pronto Grenache (2006)

Pick of the range for me. It doesn’t have the alcohol heat of the other reds, and the flavours are more interesting. It tastes of iodine, blackberry, minerals, earth and plums, a dry aniseed-like flavour lingering through the aftertaste. Gritty tannin too works well with the style. Blend of grenache, shiraz and touriga. Tasty stuff."
