Thorn Clarke ‘Morello’ Nebbiolo (2006)

What a fantastic effort by the team at Thorn-Clarke! Unless you are nestled in the Hills of Piedmont, Nebbiolo is no easy act and even then you need to work hard. Include the fact this wine is less than $30 and you have a champion wine on all accounts! The palate is medium bodied but full in flavour and as the name ‘Morello’ suggests it is abundant with great cherry flavours, with a slight touch of Chinese spices. All complemented with some wonderful chalky tannin to boot!
