The new Sami-Odi by Fraser McKinley (ex-Torbreck and now with Massena Wines) has made an absolutely brilliant start to the world of with his own label. There's just so much going on and so much to love. Awesome packaging (great label and in a Calvados bottle), minimal production (3 barrels),it undergoes a natural fermentation and it still maintains superb fruit weight. This is what the 'new world' wine industry is all about and should be a major turning point. All of the jargon aside, the juice is still a rich and powerful Shiraz with some savoury notes, pronounced acidity and a backwards structure (the Sami will age well)
This will get tongues wagging so if you're interested, get in quick - it won’t be around long.

Red Wine

Shiraz

Alpha Box & Dice Blood of Jupiter Sangiovese Cabernet

http://www.eastendcellars.com.au/product/1880

Red Wine

Sangiovese Blend

La Linea Tempranillo

http://www.eastendcellars.com.au/product/1751

The Adelaide Hills is where it’s at! At least that is what we think everyone will be saying in a few years time. The team at La Linea thinks so too, thus creating a sumptuous little number like this ’08 Tempranillo. Showing classic Tempranillo characters of sweet red berries and dried herbs creates a formidable mixture, muddled with some ice cold cola, this is a very moreish, summertime red.

Red Wine

Tempranillo

Arrivo Nebbiolo

http://www.eastendcellars.com.au/product/1588

A major evolution in the wine. Fine progression and focus on the fruit with sensational powderer like tannins. Now they have changed things up slightly and are now selling it as a NV rather then as a vintage as of old. The style is still spot on, showing complex notes of brioche and a crisp crunchy pear. Still with that impeccable balance and freshness from what we love from the Bay of Fires crew.

Sparkling Wine

Chardonnay Blend

Some Young Punks Fierce Allure Cabernet Sauvignon

http://www.eastendcellars.com.au/product/1825

The Punks crew come through again with some new exciting booze. This Single Vineyard, Bio-dynamic McLaren Vale Cabernet is not to be messed with. Serious tannins build some great fruit, with classic Cabernet notes of crushed mint and dried herbs. Not for the faint-hearted, this is signature Binder that effortlessly combines power and grace. An almost inky palate that comes from the dark and seductive Mataro is
lifted with bright fruit from the Shiraz - typical from the 2006 Barossa vintage. A classic in every sense.

Red Wine

Shiraz Blend
