The blend is 55% semillon and 45% sauvignon blanc. Barossa sauvignon has amazing aroma but it is different to the cool climate spectrum of this variety and to add that zesty, gooseberry lift we had to turn to cooler Padthaway for a small portion of the fruit. Believe it or not this wine has been made in the same style since 1967 when Rolf’s father embarked on replicating the Bikaver(Bull’s Blood) wine of his homeland Hungary. Not for the faint-hearted, this is signature Binder that effortlessly combines power and grace.
