How would you describe an East End Cellars Masterclass to someone who has never been to one?

A typical East End Cellars masterclass is informative and enjoyable! Depending on the topic, the classes can either feature a single iconic producer, honing in on a particular style or even vineyard, ranging through to a class centred around a single variety or particular wine, spirit or beer. Expect to see benchmark beverages from local and international producers, regions that you may have never explored, through to the well-established wineries and leaders in their field. There’s always a masterclass for all levels of knowledge!

The masterclasses are built to take you on a journey as well as educate about the wine, spirit or beer on show. Our General Manager, Mat McNamara, is usually the host, alongside a representative from the winery, distillery or brewery.

Do you have any offerings for a small group of people?

Yes, we have an option for a wine and cheese flight that rotates weekly based on the Feature Winery of the week. This is available from 11am every day (from12pm on Sundays).

Aside from this, we have our Feature Winery winemaker or brand representative showcasing their wines in a free tasting every Friday night from 5-7pm and Saturdays from 2-5pm.

We haven’t got a ‘package’ per se, but if there is a particular topic, region, wine, spirit or beer you would like to explore, from a wine 101 course, to introductory lessons on Italian Wines through to 12 Grand Cru Burgundies hosted by the wine maker, get in contact with us and we'll make it happen!

Moreover, we also have theatre-based masterclass like making cocktails and blending your own gin classes where you take a 200ml bottle of your own gin. Our newly renovated Baily Room is the perfect space for corporate luncheons, dinners, masterclasses or Christmas staff events with a fun twist.
